This kids science experiment shows water turning to slush. It looks like magic but I'll tell you how it's done. Make a koolaid slushy, just for fun.

You may be wondering what this has to do with making crafts. Well, sometimes crafting is about experimenting too. It is about transforming things into something else. It can also be about surprising, unexpected results. This kids science experiment is like that too. You take what looks like a bottle of water and pour and it transforms into something different.
Here is the video:
Want to know how to do this? It's easy!
Put a bottled water in the freezer. Check it after a half hour or so to see if it is cold. REALLY cold, but not frozen.
Mix up some koolaid or iced tea in a glass. Use a separate bottle of water to fill the glass to half full, or half empty. It will depend on if you are a half full or half empty kinda person. Don't worry, if you don't understand this, you will learn about it later. It is just about your personality. If you try to grow up being "the glass is half full" kind of person you may be much happier. That is what I have heard anyways.
Okay, this is suppose to be a kids science experiment not a pshycology class.
Now, the tricky part... take the water bottle from the freezer, gently, being careful not to shake it around. Pour it into your glass, on top of the drink you have mixed up. If it starts to come out slushy, it is the right temperature. If it doesn't, then it has to go back to the freezer. Getting it the exact right temperature is the key. HEY, this isn't sounding very scientific, is it!? I'm a crafter not a scientist. Sorry. This one is trial and error because for one thing, how long it will take to get this the exact temperature, will depend on the freezer. It will also depend on what temperature the bottle of water started out at. If you took it out of the car on a 100 degree day, it is going to take a while!
Good luck. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again, or at least until your Mom tells you to stop opening and closing the freezer!
